The Rose in the mirror

My soul burned to write these love poems.
When I was wooed with such sacredness, flame became my language.

They are the story of intimate union with my Beloved - a love affair between a mortal woman and the Divine.

She is here. In the words, in me, and in every heart that looks for Her.

Poems AS devotion

These poems belong to the ancient lineage of Bhakti - the poetry of Lover and Beloved - telling of a love so total that both hearts dissolve into one another.

But instead of blooming in temple courtyards and village songs centuries ago, these poems have been written now, by a twenty-first century woman living an ordinary life, with a love affair with the Divine folded within secretly within it.

They rise from lived union with the Divine Feminine. From love and desire, longing and ache, sweetness and surrender.

Each one is devotion, confession and kiss, written in the language of skin and sunlight, of rivers and roses, and life made holy.

She moves through every word.

  • The Rose In The Mirror’ is the title of my forthcoming collection of poems.

Some of the poems are here for you to read. More will be revealed in the book.
